We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Head of IT&D Performance & Workforce Strategy Management to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic agenda as it relates to performance, employee engagements, organization and people change management and workforce strategy in Waltham, MA (Candidates may also reside in either, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). Job Purpose
This role requires an outstanding leader, clear communicator, and progressive thinker to assume responsibility for developing, implementing, and executing new/enhanced business processes and solutions to ensure the IT&D runs efficiently. In addition, this role will provide a wide variety of strategic support functions, including executive communications and special projects, budget management and objective setting.
Your exceptional leadership and managerial abilities will enable you to oversee multiple projects/priorities, cultivate a culture of excellence, build a best-in-class employee engagement strategy, and foster a collaborative environment.

The role will have the opportunity to interact regularly with executives and influence critical decisions.
What you'll do
- Strategy: Collaborate with the SRM and Strategy team to monitor objectives, key results, and provide guidance to leadership to ensure the team is meeting objectives
- Performance and Planning : Provide oversight and direction to the Performance and Planning community across IT&D
Build a proactive culture of quality and excellence.
Ensure performance contracts and commitments are aligned with NG and IT&D’s strategic priorities, goals, and objectives.
Monitor, track, and report on IT&D performance escalating timely where objectives are at risk or off-track ensuring correctives actions are identified and managed.
Drive continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, deliver superior results, and unlock organizational capacity.
- Advisory Partner: Function as a trusted advisor to the Head of SRM and Global CIDO, offering insights, data-driven analysis, and executive briefings to support decision-making processes.
Assist in responding to senior executives' requests with high urgency and accuracy.
Question prioritization and time allocation across the business and IT&D organization to ensure organization capacity and execution with excellence.
Support culture and leadership evolution.
- Engagement: Develop and execute communication and "marketing" strategies to keep internal and external stakeholders informed about IT&D and SRM initiatives and achievements. Create a best-in-class communication and social media strategy that reflects IT&D key role in the future of energy transformation internally and externally.
Lead the IT&D Grid voice engagement including planning for engagement, driving task force development, action planning and metric tracking.
Coordinate and create IT&D Monthly Operational and Quarterly Business Reports and/or Newsletters.
Monitor and enable IT&D onboarding of new employees.
Facilitate, plan, and run executive and staff meetings for SRM and IT&D as appropriate.
- OCM and Workforce Strategy : Relentlessly identify opportunities to improve Organization and People change management across IT&D. Serve as liaison for OCM with the Transformation Office and the community of practice across National Grid. Partner with IT&D Leaders and HR to identify a holistic workforce strategy across IT&D
Partner with portfolio team to ensure OCM practices are embedded in work with direct support for large transformational work with high degree of impacts to stakeholders.
Work with IT&D leaders to identify emerging trends and integrate forecasted need into IT&D’s workforce strategy.
Partner with HR to ensure there is line of sight into IT&D’s forecasted need to establish appropriate talent acquisition and retention strategies.
What you'll need
Experience and expertise in successful organization and people change management, planning and budgetary monitoring and control.
Demonstrated success in driving transformation including communication, planning for, and tracking adoption across an organization.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Proven experience in managing and executing large-scale IT projects and initiatives.
A visionary leader who can inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional results.
In-depth knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance standards.
Experience in communication strategies, public relations, and social media management is highly desirable.
Exceptional presentation development skills, with the ability to create visually appealing and impactful presentations.

Salary
$160,000 - $226,000 a year
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
