We are Gateway Regional Medical Center. Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.

We are looking for a result-driven team leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising a team of Medicaid Eligibility Specialists to achieve the organization's objectives . You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum . You should create a cohesive team that works efficiently together to maximize the team's potential. The Lead will support the customer service team's needs for mentoring and coaching and help increase the team's overall performance and quality. The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist reports to the Patient Access Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.
- Delegating tasks to team members.
- Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.
- Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
- Conducting quarterly performance reviews.
- Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.
- Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Medical terminology course(s) helpful.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

- Remain calm and courteous when handling difficult calls and request
Skills:
- Effective verbal and listening skills to provide courteous and professional customer service.
- Effective PC skills including electronic mail, intranet, and industry standard applications.
Experience:
- 2+ year's customer service/telephone experience in a similar call center environment and/or industry required .
