Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series) Andrology/ED/Mens Health Position Overview: The salary range for this position is $332,842-$552,426. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan
The Department of Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in Andrology/ED/Men's Health specialty. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities and University/public service.
EXPECTATIONS
The successful candidate will have strong clinical and surgical skills specializing in Andrology, Erectile Dysfunction (ED), and Men's Health. Training in male infertility optional. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality patient care, with continued academic pursuits in teaching and education, scholarly and creative activities, and bring strong interpersonal skills of collaborating across a broad range of medical specialties. The candidate will have teaching responsibilities that include teaching and supervision of various learners such as medical students, residents, fellows, and PA/NP students. Participation in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations is expected as well as providing service to department and school committees to fulfil University and public service and scholarly and creative activity achievements.
The incumbent must foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment that fosters team science and multi-disciplinary patient care, adhere to University policies and procedures and be sensitive to the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds.
Rank and step will be based upon experience and qualifications.
This recruitment is conducted at the assistant/associate rank. The resulting hire will be at the assistant/associate rank, regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must possess or be eligible for the following:
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.
- Completion of ACGME accredited andrology fellowship
- Board certification/eligibility in Urology
- Eligible for full and unrestricted medical licensure in the State of California
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in andrology
- Evidence of teaching experience in a diverse environment
- Demonstrated evidence of professional and/or scholarly achievement and activity
- Demonstrated ability or potential to establish and sustain extramurally funded research
- Evidence of publications of scholarly work in medical literature
- The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are legally authorized to work in the United States. The University will not offer sponsorship of a visa for this position. REQUIREMENTS
