The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning is Arizona's newest therapist owned therapy agency and is in need of Occupational Therapists to provide in home and clinic based pediatric therapy services. Our mission is to provide quality services and to be the best in class provider of home and clinic based therapies.
About the Role: We are looking for Occupational Therapists (OT) focused on Pediatrics to join our growing practice. This is a part time or full time contract position that can be tailored to your current availability. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to primarily complete evaluations, supervise COTAs and see clients in-home and/or in-clinic for occupational therapy services. We are seeking candidates that are willing to provide
in-home and clinic-based evaluations and treatment. The ideal candidate will have consistent evening (3-7 PM) and/or weekend availability to complete evaluations and therapy.

Responsibilities: - Address client's aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life quality
- Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Assess client's home and other environments and advice on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Collect data and document processes followed
- Evaluating a patient's functional status
- Evaluating the home environment
- Establishing treatment goals
- Planning treatment
- Implementing the plan of care through direct treatment
- Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers
- Participating in appropriate, approved educational and clinical research activities
- Providing accurate, timely documentation of treatment
Minimum Qualifications: - Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Arizona (verified)
- At least 1 year experience working in pediatrics
- Master's degree required
