JOB SUMMARY Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Internal Audit team over the summer. As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our Internal Audit department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge. Please note, the pay range being shown below is a technical error we are aware of and actively working to correct. The actual expected pay range for this role will be $15.00-$21.00/hourly, while adhering to local minimum wage requirements. Thank you for your understanding.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Demonstrate an interest in learning and the ability to apply learnings from one experience to another.
• Demonstrate Flagstar's values and desired risk management behaviors.
• Follow general direction in prioritizing work and meeting pre-established goals.
• Develop general auditing and banking industry knowledge.
• Develop cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Assist in testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies/ procedures.
• Prepare detailed audit documentation in line with IIA/ department standards.
• Participate in discussions relating to risk and issue identification and resolution.
• Assist in the continuous monitoring process, as applicable.
• Participate in Internal Audit special projects, initiatives or other ad hoc projects, as applicable.
