The Academic Materials Associate reports to the Administrative Manager and supports the Sr Academic Materials Associate and the Director of Brand Communications and Marketing, as well as the Skidmore Shop team. 

Responsibilities: Duties include (but are not limited to) cashier management, assisting in all aspects of the textbook unit at the Skidmore Shop/skidmoreshop.com: faculty adoptions, textbook sales, textbook buyback, and assistance in managing online affiliate programs that include textbook rentals and third-party textbook sales for all course materials, traditional and digital, in support of faculty and students. This position will research new systems and technologies for providing students course materials balancing affordability for students and margin for the Shopâ™s viability of textbook program. Responsibilities also include supporting all the buyers in the store by monitoring inventory levels, stocking the sales floor, and reporting low stock/stock outs in coordination with the Administrative Manager. The Academic Materials Associate will assume register duties as assigned by supervisor. The Academic Materials Associate will assist with other sales or administrative tasks in the Shop as needed, including invoicing and website product preparation. 

Experience: This position requires a high level of computer literacy, exceptional written and verbal communications skills, the ability to organize competing priorities, and participation as a team player while taking initiative as self-starter.

Salary: $20.22 - $23.00 per hour commensurate with experience
