Information Systems Specialist – AgCarolina Territory

AgCarolina Farm Credit has an open position for an Information System Specialist. In this role, the Specialist will perform a wide range of IT tasks and projects including but not limited to providing technical support and training in the use of information technology throughout the association in a responsive and service-oriented manner. This is a key role that provides onsite technical expertise and support for our local branches throughout our territory as well as serves as a principal liaison between the Association and our funding bank. This role will report to the Director of IT.

How you will impact AgCarolina Farm Credit:
- Provide technical support and training in the use of information technology throughout the association in a responsive and service-oriented manner
- Monitor, remediate, and escalate Association helpdesk tickets and phone calls
- Provide onsite technical expertise and support for Association branches
- Supports business continuity, incident response and disaster recovery plans
- Adheres and enforces operational and internal controls pertaining to technology and systems
- Manages and monitors local technology vendors as needed
- Works to assure that internal and external customer needs are being met utilizing technical tools and helpdesk application
- Monitors IT landscape for new tools, procedures, and best practices, and presents to management for consideration

What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in computer technology or 3-5 years' experience in a related field
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people and demonstrate respect for everyone contacted
- Excellent oral/written communications and human relations skills
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems
- Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues related to Microsoft Windows laptops, desktops, and servers
- In-depth knowledge of Apple iPhone operating system
- Working knowledge of AV systems, projectors, and microphones
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction, managing time and projects effectively.
- Ability to lift and relocate IT equipment for setup/maintenance
- Ability to travel with overnight stay as needed for training and when traveling to support branch office locations
- Effectively communicate with customers a nd team members
- Ability to perform other duties assigned, complete and/or supervise IT tasks and projects
