Position Summary/Description:
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The Office of Faculty Affairs is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Faculty Affairs APT Specialist. This role will be responsible for providing specialized review, consulting, and oversight for faculty dossiers submitted for appointment, promotion, and tenure ( APT ) across all Schools/colleges within the university. Each school/college is required to have faculty personnel guidelines, and within the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Medicine, each department is required to have such guidelines. The Faculty Affairs APT Specialist must be knowledgeable of those guidelines and the UNC Chapel Hill Tenure Regulations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting campus-level committees during the evaluation process. This position reports to the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
