Culinary Operations Manager Job Highlights The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for successfully executing all programs related to culinary operations which include vendor management, project management, logistics, management, and development. In addition, this position will be accountable budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, for all non-production capital expenditures for the global culinary department/team. Strives to continually improve internal customer satisfaction and ensure that standards and procedures are being followed.
* Salary Range- 75k-95k Annually* What you will be doing as the Culinary Operations Manager: - Develop operational systems, processes, and policies to support better management reporting, information flow and coordination between business units
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, which includes sourcing, liaising and providing internal vendor support
- Build out and present to senior management executive reporting illustrating the financial impacts on major shifts in capital execution
- Monitors and analyzes current system of production and works out strategy for improving if necessary
- Interact with managers of different departments and organizations an liaises with other team members to accomplish culinary department projects and events
- Trains, supervises and leads new Tesla and contracted staff, tracking and measuring performance to ensure effective operations within the culinary department
- Develops and implements sustainable standard operating procedures for the culinary department
- Develops and oversees projects from the definition of the scope, work plan creation, timelines, internal and external resources needed and allocates labor resources as required.
- Research new technologies and alternative methods for better efficiency
- Sets and reviews budgets and manages costs
- Liaise with designers and architects on the creative architectural design plans for current and future culinary spaces
- Help to guide the development and personal growth for all direct reports, including performance reviews
- Develop and maintain metrics to track KPI’s for all program responsibilities
What will you bring to the Culinary Operations Manager position?- Ability to perform accounting and finance math including calculations of fractions, percentages and/or ratios. Experience with forecasting and budgeting preferred
- Solid experience working with Microsoft Windows and Office which includes word outlook, processing, spreadsheets and database programs. Must have the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to effectively work in a faced paced environment under constantly changing priorities and demand
- Own transportation may be required for visits to other facilities and perform other duties as assigned/needed
- Must be whiling to obtain Food Manager Certification within first 30 days
- Must be customer service oriented, accurate, self-motivated, and be able to use time efficiently.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to direct and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers
- Experience in related field and/or degree from an accredited university in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 5 years of high volume food & beverage program management experience preferable
