Job Summary:
Griswold Home Care for North San Diego is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide Caregiver to join our team. This part-time, hourly position in the home care industry will serve the San Diego, California area. As a vital member of our team, the Home Care Aide Caregiver will provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Assist with mobility and transportation, accompanying clients to appointments and outings.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of services provided and client progress.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment and foster strong relationships with clients and their families.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
- HCAa, CNAs, HHAs, preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check and health screening.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
