Job Summary
This position is responsible for supervising all daily mill operations. Additional d uties include involvement and leadership of subordinates within Safety Program. Responsibilities include observing and supervising production operations, communicating with other departments to solve production-related problems, and reviewing daily production reports.
Job Description
Plant Operation Supervision - 65%
- Handle all incoming shipments.
- Adhere to company health and safety standards.
- Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to subordinates .
- Evaluate various process of the production operation to maximize production output and yield.
- Monitor costs and make adjustments to processes and resources in order to reduce production expenses.
- Check production output according to specifications
- Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
- Reviews problems and issues on an ongoing basis.
- Maintaining communication between subordinates and plant manager to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
- Conducts ongoing training and cross training to subordinates to assure position coverage and move up needs.
- Available to supervise weekend work as needed.
- Maintains good communication with managers subordinates, and co-workers .
Other & Miscellaneous – 20%
- Attend required meetings and provide coordination and leadership for discussing important issues.
- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
- Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
- Reports all irregular issues and problems to Plant Manager for solution.
- Regularly analyze and manage the wastewater and exhaust gases on our plant.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe facility.
- Help manage the daily requirements to ensure environmental compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides daily supervision to operations departments.

Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or more five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Safety training certification.
- Forklift certification

- WORKING ENVIRONMENT

- Work is performed primarily in a factory production work environment. Works are done frequently under very loud conditions and near moving mechanical parts. Temperature conditions can change fro m cold to extremely hot. The chance to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles is high.

- Also, the employee must be able to read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen; Also requires the ability to measure or identify using eyesight.
- Infrequent travel is required.

Pay Rate/Salary
- $24.00 - $35.00/hr depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location.
