We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to join a workplace committed to equity, advocating locally and nationally, actively engaging with patients to refine and elevate our impact on community health.
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of group benefits programs, the Benefits Administrator provides customer service, designs/implements benefit plans, and manages end-to-end leave of absences. Coordinates with vendors, maintains compliance with regulations, and analyzes and enhances benefits offerings.
What you will do:
- Research, design, and implement cost-effective benefits programs
- Act as the primary contact for plan vendors, coordinating data transfer and ensuring efficiency
- Manage daily benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and compliance testing
- Analyze and evaluate current benefits, staying informed about industry trends
- Conduct plan audits and surveys, providing recommendations for management review
- Provide excellent customer service, develop communication tools, and conduct training for staff
- Administer leave of absence program, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
- Determine employee eligibility for leave, obtain certification forms, and communicate leave details
What we are looking for:
- Proficiency in Microsoft products, HRIS, and benefits databases
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Analytical skills and knowledge of benefits plan designs and contract language
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
