HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
Millennium Therapy is looking to add a Full-time Human Resources Assistant to our staff. Millennium Therapy operates throughout Iowa, providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in various settings including Outpatient, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Assisted Living, and Home Health. In addition, we specialize in sports medicine and help employers with workplace assessment, ergonomics, and injury prevention and treatment. Our staff is trained to provide efficient, effective services, prioritizing patient needs with their goals in mind. At Millennium Therapy, our patients are our priority, and each treatment is tailored to meet the individual patient’s needs and goals.
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Human Resources Assistant helps in administrating and maintaining all human resource record-keeping systems, assists in processing benefits including providing benefit information, assisting in processing payroll and payroll-related activities including time and attendance, use of social media, and providing general human resource information to associates.
- Assist in helping process and track FMLA and Worker Compensation and working with 3rd party benefit brokers and providers.
- Enters and maintains personnel information and records. Identifies and resolves benefit issues and coordinates resolution with the human resources team and vendors.
- Identifies and resolves payroll issues and coordinates resolution with the human resources team.
- Coordinates with managers and department heads to obtain pertinent employee information to help facilitate and resolve issues.
- Sitting, standing, and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary.
- The majority of work (80+%) requires light to medium physical effort including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and/or bending with light to medium to heavy objects.
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education or equivalent experience, with 2-4 years prior HR experience is preferred. Some benefit administration and payroll experience are strongly preferred.
- Ability to identify and manage details. Requires ability to input data and understand Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- The position involves a high volume of work and requires managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Requires a high level of organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and problem-solving skills.
