Our client has a long-standing commitment to providing safe and efficient air transportation services. For over 25 years, they have been a family owned business, operating a fleet of aircraft throughout the United States. They offer on-demand charter flights to a variety of destinations, including Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. 

They are a Part 125 Air Cargo Services provider that specializes in transporting auto parts, heavy equipment, and other cargo across the United States and other locations. They have a fleet of three Boeing 737-300F Freighters and one Boeing 727-200 Tri-Jet Freighter, and their pilot bases or domiciles are located at KTOL - Toledo Express Airport/Swanton, OH.

They are currently seeking a Director of Operations in El Paso, TX.

Job Description:

As the Director of Operations (DO), you will ensure that all flight operations are conducted in accordance with the FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, and Company policies while responsible for exercising authority to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible to the Board of Directors for establishing safety standards and maintaining flight operations per all FAA and DOT requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring effective Operational Control is maintained for all flight operations.
• Oversee, distribute, and maintain company manuals, procedures, revisions, and necessary information.
• Accountable for ensuring competent and adequate crew, dispatch, and administrative staffing.
• Responsible for training and maintaining pilot records.
• Responsible for communicating and coordinating with other departments to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Responsible for budget development, establishment, and budget performance.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• (Preferred) hold Airline Transport Pilot certificate with fleet experience in turboprop or light jets.
• At least five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• At least five (5) years experience as PIC of an aircraft operated under parts 121, 125, or 135.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented, creates an inclusive and motivating work environment.
• Action-oriented, seizes opportunities to make quick and efficient decisions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
• Previous DO experience.
