Job description
Basic Function
The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting, to include, regularly monitoring requests for Attendant Care Employees, on boarding, and maintaining GSIL's database for our Attendant Care Employee workforce. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans for open positions, interviewing, and assisting consumers to interview/onboard candidates, as needed through our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
*Responsibilities
Recruitment, on boarding, registry management of the ACE workforce while working with Coordinators and consumers fostering relationships to successfully obtain GSIL's recruitment goals to match all of our consumers with Attendant Care Employees.
Recruitment
- Establishes recruiting requirements by meeting with m anagers to discuss needs. Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport and source new candidate leads.
- Works with applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
- Coordinate college recruiting initiatives. Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition. Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting. Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
- In collaboration with the Human Resource Director, improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices and emphasizing the organizations benefits (GSIL offers medical, dental, life, AD&D, STD, LTD, FSA (healthcare and dependent care), voluntary life, AFLAC, 403-b retirement plan with a 6% match after one year and paid time off).
- Attracts applicants by placing job ads on internet job boards, in newspapers, on organization's website and attending job fairs.
- Works closely with consumers, Coordinators, and Management personnel to write and customize ads and developing strategies to customize the consumers needs.
- Coordinate efforts to recruit for ACEs for the registry in designated areas. Act as the primary contact for registry additions and deletions in the designated areas assigned.
- Work with consumers and provide support for their recruitment request, their applicants and onboarding of new hires.
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting and retention plans and adjust as needed.
Onboarding
- Prescreens applicants for open positions and registry needs. Determines qualifications by pre-screening applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Arranges and conducts interviews with applicants and assists with the completion of the new hire documentation on the ATS, in collaboration with consumers.
- Provide direct assistance to match and fill open positions with Coordinators and consumers, working closely with the Human Resource Director and Coordinators.
Documentation
- Documents and tracks ads placement, where applicant is along the process of hiring (i.e. Applicant Tracking System (ATS), outreach efforts).
- Maintain the registry of ACE in designated areas, to include but not limited, monthly updates and outreach to candidates, updating contacting and availability information, and maintaining ongoing communication with Coordinators.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in general GSIL events, activities, team meetings, trainings, to advance the mission of GSIL.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Provide 'hands on 'training, support, to consumers and LTS department.
- Travel is required, job fairs, etc.
- Must have a solid understanding and value consumer directed model of service provisions.
- Work a flexible work schedule to accommodate the needs of recruitment.
- Support and uphold workplace regulations, safety practices, and GSIL policies/procedures.
- Conduct other duties as assigned .
- Stay abreast of the current trends in the industry for best recruitment and retention strategies.

Education/Training/Experience
Must have at a minimum one year of human resource / recruitment experience and a minimum of 3 years office experience necessary. Must possess at a minimum of a High School diploma, prefer college experience. Must have a strong working knowledge of the Home Care Industry and be able to effectively apply the concept of a Consumer Directed Model of support. Must have demonstrated competency in planning & organizing; ability to multi-task; effective oral and written communication; excellent attention to detail; proficient with word processing, computer literacy, and data management systems. Should be able to work with minimal supervision both independently and in a team setting. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills and ability positively reflect services. Experience with providing personal care support / services preferred.
*Physical /Mental Demands
- While performing the duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to sit, use a computer, a telephone, and other office equipment and to move throughout the building and attend outside Employee may occasionally need to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift carry, push or otherwise move objects (e.g. files or presentation materials). Ability to frequently change tasks in accordance with job demand.
- This position requires the ability to be adaptable and adjust workload as needs indicate. This is a fast-paced work environment.
