- Monitors and assesses the allocation of resources for contract compliance to identify areas of improvement and ensures contract compliance through collaboration with Contract Administration.
- Assists the Director of Contracts in the identification and development of strategic plan and objectives .
- Manages activities associated with contracts from the proposal phase through contract close, including leading contract discussions and negotiations; reviewing contract terms and conditions, communicating contract requirements to the organization; managing contract changes and monitoring performance to meet company objectives and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Composes contract documents, including teaming agreements, statements of work, bailment agreements as well as review and interpret governmental and commercial procurement regulations and requirements.
- Manages contract interpretation and provides guidance with problem solving pertaining to shipment, payment or customer requirements for orders, and a variety of matter related to proposals and contracts to ensure contract compliance.
- Performs role of functional expert for business area team to ensure timely and efficient application of resources.
- Ensures that subordinate staff members understand and comply with GD Corporate and GD-OTS policies, procedures and work instructions, as well as governmental and commercial procurement laws, regulations and policy guidance .
Education-
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
Experience-
Required:
- 10 or more years of applicable experience.
- Experience with FAR and DFAR regulations.
Preferred:
- Government and Commercial contract law and regulation; Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR; Sarbanes-Oxley Act; Export Control Regulations; International and Foreign Military Sales SBU product offerings; Contract analysis, interpretation and compliance; Defense and high technology industries.

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
