Job Title: Payroll Administrator - The position will be located at our central office in Little Rock, Arkansas.
POSITION SUMMARY: The payroll administrator is held responsible for collecting timekeeping information, processing payroll accurately, and resolving any discrepancies within payroll. Communicating well with the human resource manager and controller, to ensure proper compliance and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Consistently and accurately, process payroll for 300+ employees (bi-weekly, monthly, bonus, commission, etc.)
- Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees to process records effectively
- Oversee timesheets thoroughly to ensure wages and benefits are properly distributed- keep an accurate record of paid time off benefits and update it regularly
- Communicate well with human resource department to ensure necessary changes/updates are current and accurate for all employees
- Answer questions regarding wages, deductions, attendance, and time records from staff
- Ensure proper calculations and compliance at all times with garnishments, child support, and other deductions that may be occur
- Assure confidentiality and security of all records and information
- Adhere to payroll procedures, and ensure compliance with the federal and state laws
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
- Participate in end-of-month closing, quarterly tax reports, and assist with internal/external audits
- Calculate and figure additional checks (401(k), other benefits, child support, garnishments, etc.) ensuring proper completion of each procedure
- Ensure all payroll and assigned schedules are current and balanced
- Complete verification of employment – in compliance with company’s standards
- Keep an organized filing system of all payroll documentation, in accordance to the dealership standards
- Cross train on various accounting task to provide effective teamwork and productivity
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

- Work experience in payroll or a related field; dealership experience preferred
- Demonstrate knowledge in the area of payroll
- Advanced computer skills, specifically in Reynolds and Reynolds
- Understand the importance of and maintains confidentiality
- Understand and follow work rules, policies, and procedures
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
