Job description

You will thrive as this reputable business’s Accounting Clerk, if you can handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Major responsibilities
- Post financial information to journals and ledgers
- Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned
- Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
- Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
- Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed Requirements – 2+ years of accounting experience required
- Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong familiarity with QuickBooks
- Foundational knowledge in Billing Functions
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
