Job description
Join our team as a Software Development Lead and be part of a dynamic environment where you'll have the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain critical software systems on an open and flexible architecture. You'll work alongside a talented agile development team to enhance existing financial applications and spearhead the creation of a new architecture. Your role will involve staying abreast of the latest technologies to guide future upgrades, ensuring efficiency and sustainability. We're seeking someone with exceptional communication and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast-paced, remote setting.
What You'll Get to Do:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of Web-enabled applications using various technologies.
Translate complex customer requirements into functional and sustainable solutions.
Monitor application servers, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate with team members in an agile environment, conducting code reviews and establishing processes for technical teams.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
7 to 10 years of related work experience.
Minimum 10 years of software experience, with at least 5 years in an engineering lead role on IT or software application projects.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects.
Strong prioritization and execution skills in high-pressure environments.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
Excellent organization, communication, and writing skills.
U.S. Citizenship eligible to attain a DoD secret clearance.
Nice to Have:
Experience with database administration techniques.
Cloud environment experience (AWS is a plus).
Experience in a DoD environment.
