Job Description Summary

This is an analytical role in which the engineer will build and utilize gas turbine engine aero-thermal models to conduct analysis of engine steady-state and transient operation.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with aerodynamicists, heat transfer experts, engine controls engineers, and other engine designers to develop system level aero-thermal models of gas turbine engines.
- Participate in engine test planning/execution and analyze data collected from these engine tests to validate and improve the engine performance models.
- Conduct analysis to ensure the engine design can meet all customer requirements for thrust, fuel consumption, transient response, and engine operability across the flight envelope while observing all engine operating limits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from accredited university
Desired Characteristics
- Strong interest in compressible flow modeling and thermodynamics
- School or industry experience with computer coding (examples: C++, Python, Matlab, or NPSS)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative team environment
- Graduate degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering
