Job description
Busy Little Rock medical practice seeking a medical billing specialist.
Must have the following experience: - Modernizing Medicine / EMMA billing experience preferred
- 3+ years total medical billing experience
- Working with insurance companies to resolve claim payment (including Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, United Healthcare)
- Posting CPT and ICD-9 codes
- Working with patients to resolve insurance issues or payment discrepancies.
- Ability to prioritize according to the needs of the practice.
- Ability to help employees prioritize and maintain current A/R.
- Investigative skills (to solve claim problems)
- Mathematical skills
- Tech savvy
Duties Include: - Auditing patient accounts for posting accuracy.
- Following-up on past due accounts.
- Creating reports which show clinic totals as well as A/R totals.
