The Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer (SVPCMO) provides vision, leadership and management with primary emphasis on sales and marketing across all system-wide product lines and a secondary emphasis on public relations, communications and government relations. The SVPCMO is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating all sales, marketing, public relations and government affairs functions This position provides visibility and serves as a spokesperson for PVM, maintains a high professional profile and visibility in the community, and will build collaborative partnerships and relationships in the community to further PVM’s mission. The Sales and Marketing Department reports to the SVPCMO.

Essential Duties

 

  1. Leads the system-wide sales and marketing functions for all communities, programs and services; including supervision of the sales and marketing department with the expectation of attaining consistently high levels of occupancies, enrollments and utilization of programs/services.
  2. Leads the system-wide advertising initiatives across numerous vehicles aimed at appealing to diverse audiences.
  3. Works in close coordination with PVM’s Facilities Advancement Department in assessing overall market conditions, including determining product demand, product type, competitive positioning, pricing and feasibility.
  4. Manage advocacy, government and public relations activities including overseeing professional consulting resources, if any are retained.
  5. Monitor all state and federal legislative issues as it relates to the senior living and aging services field.
  6. Participate in coalitions/collaborations and work with other organizations and individuals to reach common goals.
  7. Serve as the public relations and crisis communication executive. Prepare and distribute press statements, media releases, public service announcements, and media activities as it relates to the organization. This includes social media, website, annual reports, and other written publications, such as PVM Outlook, and Highlights.
  8. Coordinate press conferences/media coverage for PVM activities, events, and announcements.
  9. Represent PVM with select local, regional, state and national organizations.
  10. Develop relationships with local, regional, state and federal officials to further advocacy efforts for seniors and aging related causes.
  11. Serve as key coordinator in social media, letter campaigns and other mobilizing advocacy efforts for seniors.
  12. Attend and participate in all appropriate professional meetings and development opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and strengthen skills.

Education: Graduate degree preferable in relevant fields that may include marketing, management, administration, business, aging services/gerontology, public relations, social work, healthcare. Undergraduate degree required.
