As a Wireless RF OTA UWB Systems Engineer, you will be a core member of our highly innovative and visible wireless system team with the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products that will delight and inspire millions of Apple’s customers every day. One emphasis of your specific role will be end-to-end modeling and simulation of sophisticated wireless systems, including but not limited to radio propagation channel, RF/antenna, PHY/MAC, and sensor fusion schemes.

Key Qualifications

Description

You will work closely with antenna engineers, PHY systems and algorithm engineers, FW and SW engineers in the areas above. In order to perform end-to-end wireless system performance analysis, you need to collaborate with multi-functional teams to model, simulate, and visualize the performance of complex sub-system blocks from user movement, wireless propagation models, and RF/antenna behavior, via PHY/MAC protocols and associated signal processing mechanisms, all the way to simulating sensor fusion processing. You will build an end-to-end simulator using Matlab/Python to predict system performance at various wireless channel conditions. You will design validation methods to correlate modeling results with measured data. In this process, you will need to identify critical root-causes of the discrepancy and improve the system modeling accordingly. You will present the results and important findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Education & Experience

BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
