Job description
Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensures coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiates equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for Federal and State missions.
Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Consolidates all logistics readiness indicators to formulate an assessment of the command logistics readiness of the state. Develops the Equipment on Hand policy that directs the supply and services officer and (DOL) DCSLOG/G4 to initiate equipment redistribution actions within the command.
Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. Receives input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans to support the material fielding plan. Develops command requirements for new equipment training. Analyzes, directs and provides command logistics guidance to support CTA/TDA/MTOE changes and turn-in of command excess equipment to the USPFO.
Serves as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program.
Updates Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4 branches or activities. Prepares the annual DCSLOG/G4 management controls statement of assurance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE is experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the Specialized Experience, Education, or a combination of both as described below:
GS-11- Specialized Experience - Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support. Initiates equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center. Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization.
OR
Education - Possess a Ph.D, an equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. NOTE: In order to be considered for this position using education as a basis of qualification, you must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR
Combination - A combination of Specialized Experience and Education as described above. Only graduate education in excess of that required for a Master's degree or equivalent may be used when combining education and experience to meet the total qualification requirements. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
