Position summary: The Machine Maintenance Technician will perform all preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines. They will also troubleshoot any issues and communicate with suppliers to ensure the issue is resolved.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and perform basic maintenance on all machines within the department.
- Troubleshoot faulty machinery and diagnosing the root cause of the malfunction using diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities
- Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
- Repair broken or faulty machine parts
- Manage spare parts, inventory and consumables, ensuring proper levels in stock
- Obtaining information on replacement parts or actions needed to restore production
- Read, interpret, and follow instructions in operation manuals
- Create and implement standard maintenance operation procedures based on specific machine knowledge
- Responsible for maintaining work area, quality control in relation to the product being assembled, and meeting production needs set by management
- Cross-train to perform job duties on all CNC machines
- Communicate effectively through phone and email
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Flexible hours (mainly first shift) but willing to work the hours to get machine breakdowns resolved on weeknights or weekends on occasion
Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
- Experience in the manufacturing and electrical field - Required
- Excellent mechanical aptitude pertaining to disassembling and reassembling machinery - Required
- Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics - Required
- Must be dependable, hard-working, and pro-active in performing assigned duties
- Experience performing maintenance on multiple machines with various software programs
- Experience using a multimeter to test wires, relays, contactors, fuses, sensors of various types, motors, and other to troubleshoot issues
- Comfortable working with various electrical voltages including AC and DC 12v and 24v, 110v, 220v, 240v, 480v and understanding how to connect/order items for various voltages & amperages
- Calibration of CNC machines
- Greasing fittings and changing oil on various machines as preventative maintenance requires
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
