Job description
Our client is searching for a highly skilled Information Technology Manager to supervise the company's IT Help Desk, End User Computing, and Infrastructure operations. Under the guidance of the Sales Director, you will have the accountability of maintaining optimal performance and availability in these IT areas to facilitate company operations and strategic plans. Key responsibilities include managing a team of IT professionals and managed service partners, implementing novel IT systems and policies, and ensuring alignment with industry-leading cybersecurity practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and management processes for the IT department’s Help Desk, End User Computing, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity.
- Develop and execute business continuity protocols to minimize disruptions to business operations during emergencies or data loss incidents.
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for the improvement of IT Help Desk, End User Computing, and infrastructure.
- Analyze the performance of IT infrastructure and systems, assess operating costs, upgrade requirements, and other metrics.
- Oversee cybersecurity measures for systems, networks, and enterprise information, facilitating IT security audits or investigations.
- Manage data backup and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with other IT Managers to advance the collective IT roadmap.
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Drive the integration and optimization of corporate networking.
- Continuously improve cross-functional knowledge management processes.
- Provide daily leadership, direction, and structure to the IT team.
- Work closely with the IT Director to develop and execute technology innovations aligned with the company's vision and mission.
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
- Direct the daily operations of the team, analyze workflow, establish priorities, and set deadlines.
- Stay updated on advances in technology and industry trends.
- Develop and interpret department goals and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff.
- Review project plans and coordinate project activities.
- Ensure equipment inventory is adequate and within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a preference for a master's degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing and leading teams within an IT department.
- Preferably, possess an ITIL certification.
- Demonstrated track record as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in working with Mac systems and enterprise networking.
- Expertise in VMware, virtualization, and storage technologies.
- Experience with Cloud migrations.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, Azure, and Google Workspace.
- Proficient in managing and controlling information technology budgets.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledgeable about the latest IT systems and management technologies.
- Experience in implementing best practices for Help Desk or Service Desk.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
