EPIC CREDENTIALED TRAINER: CADENCE/PB/TAPESTRY

Summary
As an Epic Credentialed Trainer at Hummingbird, you hold a crucial role in the ongoing advancement of our healthcare partners. By delivering comprehensive training programs, you empower clinical and non-clinical end users to maximize the benefits of Epic applications. Collaborating with your Principal Trainer, you contribute to the design, development, and implementation of training initiatives that directly impact the efficiency and quality of patient care.
You play a pivotal role in building a bridge between technology and healthcare providers, ensuring they are not just users but adept strategists in leveraging Epic. Your efforts directly contribute to elevating healthcare services, creating a positive ripple effect in our communities.

Reports To: Training Manager
Employment Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and be able to travel to all client worksites.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: $68,000 to $78,000 per year, based on experience.
Work Location: Riverside, CA or surrounding area with the option to work remotely (in alignment with the training and support schedule) from any location within the United Stated with consistent internet service.
Travel: At least 2 – 4 times per year as needed for Hummingbird company gatherings or team events.

Responsibilities
Training Delivery:
- Under moderate supervision, develop and implement training programs for Epic applications and clinical information systems.
- Conduct new hire and continuing education training sessions for clinical and non-clinical end users in live and virtual remote classroom and practice/office settings.
- Administer proficiency assessments and class evaluations, contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
- Assist with accurate tracking of end user attendance, course completion and testing in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Set up and dismantle training classes, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
- Coach Super Users and end users on application and workflow content and best practices to increase proficiency and performance.
User Support and Troubleshooting:
- Triage Epic help requests, ensuring requests are routed to the appropriate team member.
- Deliver high-quality support for training issues in accordance with contracted SLAs.
- Collaborate with application analysts to identify and resolve issues.
- Proactively engage with end users, capturing details and troubleshooting steps for issue resolution or escalation.
- Seek information from others when end user issues appear to pose significant risks.
- Audit data, troubleshoot, and track training-related issues.
- Provide on-call support during scheduled times, if required.
Quality Control:
- Ensure alignment of application training activities with cultural and clinical transformation objectives.
- Identify potential points for resistance to change and effectively build end user adoption related to assigned application(s).
Documentation and Coordination:
- Create tip sheets following established content development standards.
- Test and make updates to training delivery collateral under supervision from the Principal Trainer or Training Manager.
- Collaborate with project teams to support building, testing, and maintaining the training environment.
Required Skills
- 1+ years of experience as an Epic super user, Epic credentialed trainer, or other systems training experience.
- Currently credentialed in any of the following Epic applications, or able to successfully complete credentialing within 45 days: Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Professional Billing, Tapestry.
- Knowledge and experience with healthcare information systems, preferably Epic.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to train healthcare system staff on Epic applications in a virtual or onsite environment.
- Ability to successfully deliver technology training using multiple resources simultaneously (Microsoft PPT, Word, and Teams; Epic; internet)
- Ability to assess learner understanding and effectively address knowledge gaps using appropriate strategies for an adult learning environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing curriculum.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic PC issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other systems.
- Can coordinate multiple priorities and issues effectively.
- Logically read and comprehend technical and/or functional manuals and instructions.
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with healthcare operations, medical information, and information technology.
- Experience in training in an Epic enterprise implementation or post-live environment.
- Healthcare experience preferred; clinical or revenue cycle experience desired.
- Experience updating training collateral (tip sheets, quick start guides, lesson plans).
- Experience in content creation technologies and/or learning management systems.
