Job Summary:
DebtBlue is searching for a Director of New Accounts , this person will be responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives to acquire new clients and expand our customer base. They will oversee all aspects of the new account acquisition process, from prospecting to converting sales, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the debt settlement industry, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies.
Hours: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday during our core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pay: $85,000 - $120,000 plus bonus
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the debt settlement market.
- New Account Acquisition: Lead the prospecting, targeting, and qualification of potential clients through various channels, including direct mail, digital marketing and media, etc.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication with prospects.
- Market Analysis: Assist in market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize market share.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to drive results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align new account acquisition efforts with overall business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
- Performance Tracking: Establish and be accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of new account acquisition efforts, and regularly report on progress to senior/executive management.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all new account acquisition activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism.
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development roles within the debt settlement or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully acquiring new accounts and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to debt settlement.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
