Job description

Our Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for compounding tablets, IV's, injections, and preparing prescriptions for patients. The Technician will follow well-defined instructions utilizing necessary skills to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

These duties include but are not limited to:

• filling and labeling medications,
• delivering medications to Patient Care Areas,
• preparing IV admixture solutions,
• answering the telephone and directing the call to the appropriate staff.
• Maintaining medication stock levels and maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical services.
