Job description
Action Boat House is looking for an enthusiastic Service Advisor to join our team!
Job duties:
- Greet customers in a warm, friendly, and consistent manner.
- Schedule service work appropriately
- Provide estimates for labor and parts to customers
- Obtain customer’s signature on repair orders and document any changes done over different lines of communication throughout the process.
- Keep track of job status/progress
- Run all VIN numbers for updates and warranties for all customer and sales units
- Communicate proactively with customers
- Return phone calls and emails promptly
- Dispatch R.O.’s to the appropriate technicians
- Create and update repair orders with proper documentation
- Ensure work is done within the given time period
- Perform unit walk around with service and sales customers
- Explain work to customers to ensure they understand
- Ensure the work is approved by the customer
- Ensure the parts are available for the jobs and work with the service tech and parts coordinator
- Suggest additional service and parts with customers
- Track open R.O.’s daily
- Set call back times with customers
- Follow up with customers on progress of their unit
- Follow up daily with technicians
- Create loyalty out of conflicts
- Become fully certified and up to date with manufacturer’s training and certifications
- Work with Sales effectively to insure 100% customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees
- Abide by the dealership dress code
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Other duties as assigned
