Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upscale dining, an unwavering commitment to quality, and a passion for seafood and steak cuisine. As Executive Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards, mentoring kitchen staff, and contributing to our tradition of culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Leadership: Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring the quality and consistency of our high-end culinary offerings.
- Menu Development: Collaborate in the creation and execution of innovative menu items, maintaining the highest standards in quality and presentation. Contribute to menu innovation, respecting the restaurant’s renowned style and clientele preferences.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead the kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, precision, and respect. Provide training and professional development opportunities to staff members.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared with the utmost attention to detail, meeting the restaurant's high standards for taste, presentation, and quality.
- Kitchen Operations: Efficiently manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and workflow management. Ensure the kitchen meets all health and safety regulations.
- Financial Management: Assist in managing food and labor costs, ensuring the kitchen operates within budget while maintaining the quality synonymous with our brand.
- Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for every guest, addressing any concerns with professionalism and care.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong background in seafood and steak cuisine, with a passion for culinary excellence.
- Demonstrated ability in team management, mentorship, and kitchen operations.
- Creative culinary skills with a strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with best practices in inventory management, cost control, and compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A culinary degree or relevant certifications are highly preferred.
