Job description

Willoughby Hills Family Health Center is expanding with their advanced-practice provider coverage, and looking for compassionate, hard-working individuals to join our large group of advanced-practice providers. Applicants will be joining a fast-paced program and will be responsible for ambulatory care for adult patients.

The Primary Care Institute is ready to add a qualified Family/Adult Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to its team to provide Thursday - Sunday coverage. The location base will be out of Willoughby Hills Family Health Center and may include additional locations based on resource need. The provider in this role will work to the top of competency providing holistic care to adults in internal medicine. All candidates must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or PA program to be considered. The ideal candidate has ambulatory experience, preferably in family or internal medicine and should be comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities throughout the day including patient care, procedures and working with a team to accomplish team care. The standard hours for this role will vary by location and need, however Friday coverage and a minimum of 16 weekend hours per pay period will be required. Holidays and call may also be required for this role. Candidates should have at least 2-5 years of advanced practice experience.

APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services.

PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. PA's in this role provide advanced care to patients with in any setting in which patients require complex, acute, critical and chronic health conditions. Practice in a setting that requires complex monitoring and therapies and high intensity medical/surgical interventions and/or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care.
