The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Corporations, Business & Professional Licensing, is recruiting for a Regulations Specialist 2 located in Juneau!
What you will be doing:This position utilizes a high degree of written and oral communication skills to work independently and collaboratively with program managers, the Department of Law, and the Office of the Governor regarding Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development (DCCED), Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing (CBPL) regulations.
This position reviews, researches, interprets, analyzes, and recommends regulatory and statutory actions across all Division programs, and is responsible for posting public notices, and adopting appropriate regulations and directives to remain in compliance with state and federal standards. This position also acts as a subject matter expert on the division's Publication Team, and assists with public board meetings.

The working environment you can expect:The Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing is located in downtown Juneau on the 9th floor of the State Office Building located at 333 Willoughby Ave. Juneau, AK 99801.
The daily work environment is fast paced and offers many opportunities for professional growth. During the probationary period, working in office is required. Teleworking options are available to suited candidates of successfully complete the probationary period.
Who we are looking for:Communications and Media: Knowledge of the production, communication and dissemination of information and ideas to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Compliance: Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with State and federal laws, regulations, and guidance.
Reading: Understand and interpret written material, including technical material, rules, regulations, instructions, reports, charts, graphs, or tables; applies what is learned from written material to specific situations.
Research: Knowledge of the scientific principles, methods, and processes used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry; including study design, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; and the reporting of results.
