Job description
An environmental company is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager. In this seat you will be owning the GL function and leading month end close. Since you will be dealing with grant funding previous nonprofit experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate has Sage Intacct experience has a background working in the nonprofit industry and has 3 year of GL and monthend experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of corporate real estate accounting contributing to the financial success of an expanding company.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support and analyze financial data for real estate transactions that drive the companys growth.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants responsible for real estate accounting functions.
- Establish and maintain internal control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets for properties.
- Provide financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decisionmaking.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and 3 years related accounting experience to include experience in the nonprofit space; CPA preferred
- Public accounting &/or corporate accounting preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Strong Excel skills including pivot table VLOOKUP and other nested functions
Minimum of 2 years previous accounting experience required, including e-billing experience Legal billing experience with Aderant or Elite a plus Thorough understanding of bill processing and electronic billing processes, including the creation of LEDES files and using third party e-billing submission systems Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to review, interpret and implement client billing guidelines Intermediate mathematical skills; strong customer service and communication skills Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as client contacts
