We are currently seeking a Web Administrator/Front End Developer to join our team in Mountain View, California (US-CA), United States (US).

We are currently looking for an individual to gather, compile and create visually appealing graphics and write text pertaining to the organization for their web site, utilizing HTML, CSS or similar language.

Day to Day Duties:

• Web Content Admin:
  • Weekly update(s) of the Earth and Space Science Division pages on the public-facing web domain, maintain and update the Division’s publication(s) database.
  • Collect relevant content for website update(s) in coordination with Earth and Space Science division staff.
  • Site troubleshooting including: validating hyperlinks, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) functionality, 508 compliance & verification.
  • Utilizing media editing software to generate custom assets for website aesthetic improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and work with customer design requirements to support different teams inside of the Earth and Space Science Division
  • Coordinate and execute projects outside of the customer CMS portal.
  • Activities include, but are not limited to, identifying, designing, planning, and implementing web application, and collaborate with individuals and developers
  • Provide consultation to project on information architecture and navigation, actively participate and support new team’s website development
  • Present information in group situations to customers.
  • Keep up with customer trends.
  • Understand the limitations of the business model and provide technical solution or advice when necessary.
  • Gather and evaluate customer requirement in collaboration with developer.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5 years of related work experience, to include gathering, compiling and creating visually appealing graphics
• Minimum 1.5 years HTML or CSS markup language
• Bachelor's degree
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain Government clearance in the future if needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Web Content:
  • Understanding of the Drupal content management system and its available module(s)
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS markup language and Java script
  • Understanding of Section 508 website compliance and implementation
  • Knowledge of WordPress or other CMS software
• Experience working with Github, Netbeans
• Analytics experience. (Google analytics)
• Have a good balance of visual design UX understanding, have curious mind
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Photoshop
• Efficient use of O365 for data gathering and formatting
• Ability to clearly communicate with customers, developer, and other members
• Ability to work on projects independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent writing and editing skills as well as attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and self-reliant.
• Experience supporting a research, Engineering and/or Government environment
