Job Summary

The Senior Manager Marketing and Communications is an integral part of the Health System Communications team and is responsible for writing, editing, and publishing of a wide variety of internal and executive communications for the Health System and the greater UT Southwestern community. Reporting to the Director of Employee Communications and Engagement within the Department of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs, the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications interacts with Health System and physician leaders, managers, and staff throughout the organization and guides message development and tactics to help them to effectively convey important information.

Exceptional writing and editing skills are required. 

This position falls under a hybrid work schedule that includes 2 days per week on campus.

Required Experience and Education

A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, corporate communications, journalism, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.

Experience in health care is a plus.

Experience working in an internal communications function at a large organization, especially at a healthcare institution, is preferred.
