Job description
The TMS Technologist works closely with the TMS provider to administer ongoing TMS to assigned clients.
Full-time, benefit-eligible position.
The rTMS stands for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, and it is used to treat patients with depression who are not responding to medications alone in an adequate manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC
* Ability to learn to setup the TMS device and the coil placement
* Guide patients through the procedure and answer their questions
* Possesses a calm demeanor and able to reassure patients
* Ability to monitor patients closely during the procedure and during recovery
* Previous experience in working with depressed and/or anxious patients will be beneficial
* Ensures complete charting for the session including rating scales
* Ability/willingness to learn TMS device specific procedure
* Ability to recognize seizure activity
* Ability to monitor vital signs
* Other duties as assigned
