Job description
At Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT), we are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. As a leading engineering and design firm, we specialize in providing innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, and evaluation of various structures, including buildings and bridges. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software and codes
- Produce detailed structural drawings and specifications
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the integration of structural design with other disciplines
- Review and approve structural calculations, reports, and shop drawings
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design documents
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and drafters
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
- Proficiency in structural design software
- Experience with building codes and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
