Job description
The Assistant Teacher will work collaboratively with lead teachers and other staff members to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children. Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children Responsibilities: Provide individualized attention and support to children based on their needs and abilities Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, including sanitizing toys, equipment, and surfaces regularly Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times Collaborate with other staff members and communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns Support lead teachers in documenting children's learning and development through observations and assessments Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care Qualifications: While a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification is recommended, it is not required However, we prefer candidates with two or more years of experience in early childhood education The ideal candidate will be committed to continuing their educational training and staying updated on best practices in childcare Minimum of two years of experience working in a childcare setting Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Dedication to continuing education and professional development in early childhood education Benefits: Competitive salary Paid time off Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Pay: $26,900.00 - $31,200.00 per year Employee discount Flexible schedule Professional development assistance 8 hour shift
