Job description
Higgins, Hopkins, McLain & Roswell, LLC has a full-time associate attorney position available now. We are looking for someone with 2-5 years of litigation experience. Construction defect experience is preferred. You will have the opportunity to be mentored by, and learn from, experienced partners and senior associates. $85,000 - $115,000 yearly, depending on experience. Discretionary year-end bonus and billing-based production bonuses available.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside senior attorneys to litigate cases from start to finish.
- Communicate with clients and their insurers.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law in Colorado.
- Prior experience working in a civil litigation law firm, 2 years minimum.
- Experience in construction defect or general casualty law preferred.
- Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw).
- Able to work as part of a team, and independently when appropriate, while handling multiple files.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills are required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
- A high level of pride in your work.
