Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Pool Manager, this position performs a variety of tasks related to admission operations. Work is performed according to established guidelines and the verbal and written instructions of the Recreation Superintendent. Work is reviewed by the Pool Manager for accuracy and adherence to established procedures.

Work is reviewed by the Pool Manager for accuracy and adherence to established procedures.


Hours may vary, expect to work evenings and weekends.


This is a seasonal position – Starting pay rate is $11.00/ hour.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers; maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.


2. Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner.


3. Process the order on cash register and return correct change; follow City cash handling policies and procedures. Balance cash drawer each shift or as directed following established cash handling policies.


4. Maintain cleanliness in admission area and surrounding eating areas.


5. Contribute to a cooperative working effort by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related work as needed or requested. Assistance is given to others and special projects to be completed as scheduled or requested.


6. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Ability to utilize both internal and external resources to obtain information and data necessary to carry out routine assignments and special projects. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff. Ability to read, understand, and effectively carry out written and oral instructions, measurements, and directions and work orders. Ability to use equipment safely and act in a safe manner when in the work environment; Ability to handle cash transactions, count money, and disperse correct change; Ability to provide a high level of customer service; Ability to report to work at the scheduled times; Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and establish effective working relationships with associates, volunteers, staff and public; calmly approach and solve problems under stressful circumstances; maintain and promote harmony in the workplace; concentrate for extended periods of time; and be flexible.
