Overview
Fairview Health Services is looking for a Laboratory Technical Supervisor for M Health Fairview Reference Laboratory Mobile Care Team. This is a full-time position (exempt status) to join our Laboratory Outreach operations. Hours are Monday thru Friday with core hours of operation between 4am and 5pm (flexible start times). Weekend support as needed.

Responsibilities Job Description
In partnership with the Laboratory business services and other stakeholders, provide leadership and management for the day-to-day operations in Mobile Care. The individual will lead a team and support a culture of continuous improvement through idea generation. Ensure that customer expectations are met, and challenges are resolved in a timely manner.
The Technical Supervisor has direct responsibilities for the technical operation of the mobile care laboratory team as well as testing protocol and quality assurance. The responsibilities include the supervision of employees in collaboration with laboratory managers and medical directors as well as coordination and communication with homebound patients and client partner facilities. The Technical Supervisor assures the provision of accurate pre-analytical and collection processes which best meets the customer expectations in a cost-effective manner.

Provides daily supervision of the laboratory mobile care team
Participates in strategy, planning, and financial management of the mobile care
Assumes responsibility for the technical operations of mobile care
Orients and mentors new employees
Monitoring pre-analytical metrics and performance
Demonstrates a rapport with patients, showing concern and comfort and exercising exceptional customer service skills
Communicates effectively with other members of the health care team
Supervises activities in Laboratory Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, and Compliance Programs
Evaluates testing results for accuracy and appropriate intervention
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s in a related laboratory field including the related lab practicum or equivalent routes as specified in CLIA ’88.
Possess appropriate HHS approved laboratory certification (ASCP or AMT). HEW certification is also recognized.
1 year experience as MLS/MT with high complexity testing in designated discipline or in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer BS in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
Three to Five Years as MLS/MT
