Grants Compliance Specialist
- Full Time/Non-Exempt: 36-hours a week
- Schedule: Flexible schedule Monday through Friday.
- $35,000 annually
Description The Bridge is seeking a Grants Compliance Specialist responsible for providing administrative support to the Grants Compliance Manager to ensure that data collection of all supportive services are captured and processed for the agency and its corresponding grants. The specialist will ensure that all grantor requirements are met by assisting the lead grants specialist and department manager in gathering data for client service programs.
The Grants Compliance Specialist will perform heavy interpretive data entry from client files to provide statistical data in support of grant funding requirements. Perform regular audits of client files and sensitive data to gather statistical information (i.e. race, age, zip code, etc.) for data entry, or as needed.
As a specialist, they will be responsible for maintaining residential and/or non-residential client files by conducting as-needed audits of files to ensure that client related documentation is up to date according to grantor requirements. This includes entering data from client files into system to transfer statistical information to grantors and performs reports as needed. Assisting the Lead Data Entry Specialist and/or Grants Compliance Manager in preparing grant statistical reports from data entered for monthly, quarterly and/or annual grantor reports. Additionally, developing, implement and monitor client filing system to ensure accessible retrieval of client files and information.
Required Skills & Qualifications - High School Diploma/GED required.
- One-two years’ experience in interpretive data entry and general administrative duties.
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to read instructions without supervision and perform tasks accordingly.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications - Data entry skills and experience in HMIS and/or HMIS comparable database such as Osnium, Vela Direct, etc., Highly Preferred
Other Requirements - Must pass criminal background investigation check
- Must pass drug screen
- Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
- Must provide and maintain clean driving record and biennially update driving record.
- Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
