Position Title: **Easton - Waste Water Treatment Operator II

Gathers and analyzes samples to ensure compliance with local and federal guidelines for waste treatment facilities.

Essential Duties Include the following:
Adjust, repair, or replace parts on a variety of waste treatment area equipment, including but not limited to pumps, blowers, augers, bearings and gearboxes.
Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Must share on call duties.
Check control computer and local interfaces to ensure plant and supporting buildings and equipment are running properly.
Complete necessary data entry for the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) work order system.
Diagnose problems with waste treatment equipment and coordinates with supervision, operators, and other production maintenance and electrical and instrumentation personnel to make necessary repairs.
Implement McCain Competitive Edge and Lean Manufacturing practices relative to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP).
Inspect equipment and buildings daily.
Gather and analyze samples.
Make adjustments to the process after consultation with Grade V operator, based on laboratory results.
Manage solids inventories under the guidance of the Environmental Control Supervisor in the hoppers, tanks and sludge storage areas of the McCain Easton site.
On-site Requirement - Must perform duties onsite.
Perform area condition based inspections, preventive maintenance and proactive maintenance as required.
Perform snow removal as necessary during winter months .
Responsible for daily downtime sanitation to including but not limited to hoppers, augers, pumps, trucks, loaders, building interiors and exteriors and all related waste treatment equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, biological and operational issues.

Must hold or be able to attain within one year a current State of Maine Grade II Biological Treatment certification.
Required to complete certification through the McCain Operator Training Program
Must have or be able to attain within 3 months a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial driver’s license.
