Job description
Atlas Technologies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide leadership and guidance in managing technology projects for our growing organization. Our ideal candidate is an expert in identifying customer and client needs and managing multiple projects and distributed teams.

In this role you will work closely with stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to deliver our customer the most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all stakeholders to identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs and technical constraints to maximize business benefit.
Pay Range: $112,000 - $165,000, depending on experience.
You Will:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and demonstrate a mature project management approach in managing technology projects.
- Work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, and/or satisfy their expectations.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Work closely with technical experts/project leads to ensure timely completion of deliverables, focusing on meeting project commitments, and quality control.
- Liaise between technical teams and working groups including the customer, sponsor, and support organizations for all activities and issues pertaining to the technical work.
- Work directly with customers to understand their priorities, define project goals and strategies for improvement, identify additional contract opportunities, and resolve issues.
- Establish and standardize processes and quality control plans, facilitate project close-out meetings with customers, and address concerns in a timely manner.
- Define and determine the clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives were met.
- Document and re-engineer business processes for maximum efficiency on constrained budgets ensuring continuous process improvement.
- Implement and sustainment new hardware and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Strategically plan and execute medium to large scale turnover then takeover of IT responsibilities using technical expertise from the initial engineering teams taking into consideration existing needs, change management, and life cycle management.
You Have:
- A U.S. sponsored active Secret Clearance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strategic thinking ability
- Strong technical writing skill and job aid development
- Requirements gathering experience and ability to create requirements traceability matrix or functional requirements documents.
- 3-5 years’ experience serving as a team lead or in a leadership position coordinating tasking with team members.
- Expertise with Project Management software.
- Experience taking a project through to completion from requirements to deployment.
- Expertise within Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentations.
- Experience with process improvement and process mapping
- Experience with initiating Shared Reviews for documentation development
- Organization skills with attention to detail
- Demonstrated capability to develop, support and maintain high performing teams.
Preferred:
- Master's degree or equivalent in IT related field
- PMP certification or equivalent within 1 year of hiring.
- Lean Six Sigma certified
- 3-5 years SharePoint experience including familiarity with SP capabilities, permissions management, etc.
