Job description

JCC Greater Boston seeks dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Part-Time Family Engagement Program Associates for Pomi Programs. As the Family Engagement Program Associate, you will be an integral part of our nonprofit programming team focused on creating a vibrant, inclusive, and diverse community for families. The program Associate works to support and implement enriching, supportive, and memorable experiences for kids and families participating in our innovative Pomi programs and events utilizing our new mobile vehicle. Pomi serves families with young children in Greater Boston by providing engaging experiences and opportunities for connection.

This position helps the lead program staff to set up programming, welcome families to the event, run activities as assigned, create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, and help clean up after a Pomi program concludes. Primary areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: program set-up, event support, and program clean-up.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and lasting relationships with our community members. By nurturing connections and facilitating engaging programs, you will help create a positive and welcoming environment for families at JCC Greater Boston. You will work closely with families from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that every individual feels valued and celebrated.

The starting salary for this position is $19.62​- $21.45​ per hour. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity. This is a part-time position, and hours will vary between 5-10 hours per week.

Physical Requirements:

This position is performed out in the community and is a physically active role where individuals must have the ability to move tables, pop-up tents, and other event equipment to effectively set up for programs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive a vehicle for prolonged periods. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. safely. Must be able to push, pull, crouch, bend, kneel, and physically assist in event setups. Ability to work some weeknights and weekends, including Shabbat.
