General Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related field. Two years relevant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

The Digital Creative Specialist is responsible for curating, creating, and sharing written and visual content to support the Department of State Health Services Grant within the Center for Assessment, Research, and Educational Safety ( CARES ) in the College of Education.

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Performs highly advanced specialist duties. Creatively thinks and translates ideas into sharable content that connects with target audiences. Assists with development of content strategy across relevant channels. Understands digital video and social media platforms, including but not limited to: YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Utilizes modern design aesthetics, information, and public design. Responsible for design in Adobe Creative Suite. Develops video and graphic designs for use in multiple digital and print formats. Performs the planning and producing of photo/video shoots and completes all post-production processing. Works creatively under the pressure of short deadlines. Maintains camera equipment. Trains others in job tasks pertinent to photography/videography/design. Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence. Adheres to University branding guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned.
