Objective

Safely operate bench test equipment to perform validations and repairs on railroad power modules. Perform repairs using manual and power tools. Work on equipment under the supervision of a technical engineer. Perform automated and manual testing high voltage equipment. Follow all electronic, electrical, mechanical and CFC safety requirements. Use MS Office programs to include Access for creating reports and analysis. Use SAP to input and track completed task.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Educational Requirements

Vocational/Technical school graduate preferred. NFPA70E certification preferred.

Experience (Essential Functions)

Experience with high voltage testing/validation.

Working Conditions (Industrial/Environmental)

Primarily day shift operations from 7AM to 3:30PM. Environmental conditions include but are not limited to dust/dirt, solvents associated with cleaning, solder fume, and working with exposure to the elements.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other test equipment. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. Ability to lift equipment at minimum of 50 lbs.
