Job description
Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit for a Senior Investment Advisor for our client, a wealth management Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm who's fiercely devoted to their clients personal well-being and financial prosperity. This is a hybrid position located in Bloomingotn, MN.
Responsibilities: The Senior Investment Advisor will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and Director of Investments to manage and support investment portfolios and client relationships. Key responsibilities will include three primary functions:
Client Meetings & Household Review • Represent the investment team during prospect and client meetings and implement the client experience for investments.
• Summarize portfolios, positions, and investments in creative ways to present to wealth advisors and clients.
• Serve as primary investment advisor for clients, while assisting the Director with more complex relationships.
• Develops and manages investment policies for clients, calculates Tranches and reviews target allocations.
• Integrates tax and estate regulations into the client portfolio strategy
Investment Committee & Trading • Actively contribute to the manager due diligence process, including public and private investments (Mutual Funds, ETF’s, SMA’s, Alternatives, Private Investments).
• Responsible for executing trade and rebalance orders and maintaining client allocations and trade rebalancer settings.
• Prepare and present economic and market research to the investment committee and aid in trade idea generation.
• Evaluate manager performance through detailed performance attribution of investment and model portfolios.
• Lead external wholesaler relationships and represent the firm in a professional manner.
Back-Office and Operations Coordination • Work closely with the operations team to audit and ensure accurate reporting and back-end processes are implemented.
• Ensure new client onboarding is implemented and coordinated properly across CRM, Tamarac, Rebalancer, etc.
• Owns the held-away asset workflow and custody procedures.
• Monitors daily flows and promptly identifies and assigns actions to responsible parties.
• Responsible for investment compliance regulation
Requirements: • Investment portfolio management experience of 7+ years.
• Experience in Tamarac and/or a similar performance software platform.
• Capable of explaining complex financial topics to a non-financial audience.
• Proficient in Morningstar Direct, portfolio analytics, attribution, portfolio construction.
• Expert in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint, programming knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and open to learning.
Education: • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting or related field.
• Completion or progress towards CFA or financial professional designation is a plus
