FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Linguistics and Communication Disorders of Queens College of The City University of New York (CUNY) seeks to fill an open rank professorial position beginning Fall 2024. The Candidate will teach courses in the graduate program in speech-language pathology and undergraduate program in communication sciences and disorders; maintain a strong research program; share committee responsibilities; and fulfill other administrative duties.
The Queens College graduate program in speech-language pathology is ranked in the top 25% of nationally accredited programs by US News and World Report. The program is distinguished by its faculty mentorship model and its in-house clinical training center. The undergraduate and graduate programs in communication disorders have excellent reputations for preparing students for competitive graduate programs and for employment in the profession.
Queens College is an urban school in a suburban setting, located on a 76-acre campus with a view of the Manhattan skyline. The college is in the borough of Queens where over 150 different languages are spoken. The Queens College student population reflects both the cultural and linguistic diversity of New York City. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualification
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field with expertise in speech and language disorders, a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), and evidence of strong research potential.
